Consumer Health Product Blog

I decided to choose to create a brochure and provide step by step instructions on the daily activities for a congestive heart failure patient and how to live healthy and manage their disease. I first had to purchase and download Microsoft Publisher and learn how to create a pamphlet. Then I had to decide exactly what steps I was going to describe with the appropriate images to help visualize the instructions. This was timely and very detailed oriented to maintain the spacing and remain organized. I saved this document and then realized it had to be in PDF so I figured that out and saved it. Then came the most frustrating part of the project where I had to insert a hyperlink to a website for access to my PDF brochure. This took approximately six hours, many phone calls, researching on line, and then I had to purchase Adobe SendNow for one year in order to export  the PDF. I was unsure of where to send the hyperlink to and I did not want to create a web page (because I don't know how to) and I researched some more information. I continued to play around with the Adobe SendNow and I was able to send a hyperlink to my AOL email account. It has a big yellow box that allows you to download the PDF and it has a hyperlink to view.
This was very difficult but I feel proud of this accomplishment and I hope it is correct.

  1. Hi Alanna,
You did a wonderful job on your brochure. It was well developed, easy to follow. The readability was at an optimum level. I bright, well organized and provided wonderful health care information for the average consumer. The project was dead with what is expected from a health information product.
